Let's Say Thanks with American Pride

A patriotic activity I use every year is the "Let's Say Thanks" site sponsored by Zerox. You can have your students send a postcard of their choice to show appreciation and support of our military and country.  All the free postcards are designed by kids as seen by this sample from the site. This is such an easy, but powerful way to validate the sacrifice of our country's armed forces, especially with the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 upon us tomorrow.

Keep in touch. Find me at:

  1. This is a site that I used a few years back and did not keep track of it. Thanks for posting.

  2. I discovered your blog as a result of the Sunny Days link-up. I'm grateful for this resource.

I'm the author/illustrator of the picture book, "Red, White and Blue" based on the lyrics of a simple song I wrote right after 9-11 -- where the lyrics of the song become the text of the book. This is the book's 'first' 9-11 & I've just received a national award recognition.

I hope that in the years ahead teachers will have it to use as one more support of their young students.
