Paragraph Pizazz

I did group paragraph building practice. I wrote out main ideas, details, and conclusions on sentence strips and teams had to organize them in sequence on a poster board.  To wrap up the group activity, each student then did a paragraph cut and paste independently. The cut and paste paragraphs you can grab by clicking the photo below. Let me know how this works in your class!

Adventures of a Quarter

Take a peek at this presidential inspired writing activity.
I have my students write about the life of a quarter from the point of view of the coin.
This is one of my favorites.

pancakes and syrup
thunder and lightning
sugar and spice
Frog and Toad
Officer Buckle and Gloria
popcorn and butter

And so on...Here's a sample:

Grab it and enjoy...
But remember that comments and being a blog follower "Go Together"!

I just got back from a Target trip and got these cardboard magazine holders for $1.00. I planning to use them as team book tubs.  They need to be assembled and come in a variety of colors and designs.
