Watercolor Art Project for Spring

Sending spring your way...

These fields of flowers sure do brighten up my classroom and make a beautiful bulletin board.

The art techniques used include using watercolors dabbed on with cotton balls for the
landscape background. Then students draw in spring flowers along the fence line with oil pastels or crayons.

I recently started a Facebook Group for teachers to share ideas, questions, and inspiration.

    1. Jessica,
Yes, we watercolored first and then drew the flowers with crayon. When they are all on display together it looks like a meadow of flowers.

    2. I'm going to have to do this when my break is over! It looks better than some of the pieces of art in the museums! :p
