O'Lucky Quotes- St. Patrick’s Day Dialogue Activity

O'Lucky I am, O'Lucky I am!
Have I mentioned that my school has applied to get awarded Distinguished School status?
As we prepare for our school validation visit next week, things are getting a WEE bit hectic.
Expectations are that we post and have evidence of which standards our reflected in our bulletin boards, in addition to explicitly and clearly teaching (not just posting) objectives and standards.

So today my class practiced writing quotations with a cute little ol' leprechaun portrait.

This hits standard Writing 1.1 Understand and be able to use complete and correct declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences in writing if you are so inclined to want to know. I couldn't find a direct standard for quotations so this has to do.

Take a look at all the cuteness!

Another St. Patrick’s Day Craft idea is this adorable St. Pats Apple turkey. Students make shamrock feathers to write how they are lucky! 🍀

Wish me luck next week on the day of our validation visit.
Staff has been told to be prepared to be visited numerous times as the team is going to be on campus ALL....DAY....LONG.

I recently started a Facebook Group for teachers to share ideas, questions, and inspiration.

  6. Welcome to the world of curriculum cops. This is now our daily mandate, and they come through and leave us notes about how we are doing in achieving that ALL the time. So annoying.

HOWEVER... when the Distinguished School people came in and visited us a few weeks ago they were wonderful, said amazing things, LOVED us and were nothing like our curriculum cops. :D

    Your leprechaun peeps are cute!
