The Important Book by Margaret Wise Brown is the lead in to my Winter Poetry assignment.
After reading the book my students will write a Winter Poem in the same pattern.
I recently started a Facebook Group for teachers to share ideas, questions, and inspiration.
Come Join the group! (Freebie ideas and giveaways are sometimes shared there!)
I LOVE the Important Book. I just used it to have my students write their holiday cards to their parents. I also use it when we do our Reference Book unit. Such a versatile book!

I love the Important Book. One year I started off with it and students made a collection of "Important" poems throughout the year. One for each new theme/season, etc.
ReplyDeleteThanks for another frame!
