Last Thursday was the last day of the school year. This is the first time in my 21 years of teaching that I had to miss the last days of school out of personal necessity. In my absence the end of the year went smoothly and I appreciated the gifts I got even more.
I find that some of the most meaningful end of year gifts are the simplest.
This was a jar of M & M with an inspirational teacher poem of thanks.
It ended by stating,
"You're a magnificent and marvelous teacher.
Thank you for being my M & M"
