What a generous giveaway! I only did Jury Duty once...when I was 21 (let's just say that was a while ago). It really isn't so horrible (mine was only about 4 days long). It's kind of an interesting experience. Hopefully you get an interesting trial. :o)
Great Holiday, great giveaway, great blog. Good luck with Jury Duty. I got out of mine because the defendant's attorney didn't like me because I had a parent in my class that was a police officer! Go Figure! Happy Thanksgiving!
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my new blog...I can't wait until mine is as good as yours! :) As for jury duty--I've never had it (knock on wood) but my husband did a few years back and had to be the jury foreman. He said it was pretty interesting.
Luckily, I was out of the country when I was called for jury duty. My mom has been on a jury and said it was actually fairly interesting...but then again, we are in a small town!
I've never had jury duty, but my husband has. The thought of making sub plans "just in case" for days on end is not appealing at all. Happy Thanksgiving! dbednarsk@yahoo.com
Hello. I am your newest follower. Hopefully, your jury duty day will be cancelled. It's always easir being with the kids than planning for a sub and not being there. Happy Thanksgiving!
I used to get called when I couldn't do duty (young kids, during the teaching year-yes they did have a box to check for teachers to get called in the summer!) I really want to serve now and two summers in a row, I got the notice, but my number has never been called. I would like the experience once (be careful for what I wish for, right!) Happy Holidays Thanks for the giveaway! Peggy mrspaulson@gmail.com
I hope jury duty went okay! I was called to jury duty on the first day of my summer vacation. I wasn't ever called and just sat there all day. The highlight of my day was when EMS came to tend to an elderly man who didn't feel well. He was okay! But, it did help pass the time! Thanks for the giveaway! Last time I was called for jury duty I sat around all day in the most uncomfortable chairs ever and was never called. I did manage to get through two books that day that I had been wanting to read.
It's that most wonderful time of the year! So many bloggers, so many giveaways!
ReplyDeleteDebbie Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

Not a big fan of jury duty. Somehow I always get picked to go but never actually got "picked" as a jury member.

I've never had to do Jury Duty. Let me know how it goes in case I ever do! Sorry I'm not much help : ) Happy Thanksgiving!

Being one of the higher numbered people makes you less likely to get picked, but it's not like you can control that...

I have never had jury duty...but it doesn't seem fair to have duty and sub plans!
