Wow, I think I've found my newest love for the classroom.
Educational Insights sent me 2 sets to try out and they are amazing.
I chose one for Reading Comprehension: Getting the Main Idea
and one for math: Learn to Solve Word Problems
All of the Hot Dot products use this pen that acts as a personal learning coach.
When the pen is touched to the dots on each answer choice feedback is given such as "Good choice, Way to Go, Awesome" or "Oops not it" or "Aww Nope"
Both sets have sturdy double sided cards and an answer key.
I love the Main Idea set becauses that is such a DIFFICULT standard for many students in the area of reading comprehension. The reading levels are also indicated ranging the grades of 2-6.
I love that many passages are nonfiction. Some examples include reading about Harriet Tubman or The Star Spangled Banner.
The Word Problem Set has oversized double sided cards covering concepts in Numbers and Operations, Measurement, Geometry, Algebra, and Data and Statistics
4 questions for each problem is given
It's one of Educational Insights Best Selling sets
