Okay friends, this is my first attempt at doing a video AND a blog tip tutorial.
Don't ask me how many trial runs I did before I finally settled on this one to post.
It didn't help matters that in one attempt at recording my dog went on a scratch attack.
Thanks Harley for the scratch fest...Cut...Take 12...Take 13.
You get the picture.
Back to the point. Do you see that neat little arrow in the bottom right corner of my blog?
It looks like this:
It's a Back to the Top button that jumps right to the top of my blog. Handy, dandy.
I've had this on my blog for quite a while and I've had others ask about it so hense the tutorial.
Let me know if you give this a GO on your blog.
Hope it works for you!
Click {HERE} or on video image to view in Google Docs:
Here's the code that needs to be added to the gadget box:
I just tried it and when I pressed the arrow it didn't go back to the top it opened another window to exactly where I was before...
ReplyDeleteI have my blog set up to where when you click on a link, it opens a new tab. Do you think that might be the problem?

fabulous video Denise! I can't wait to try it out this evening!

Thanks Kristen...I'm nowhere near you in expertise though. I also couldn't figure out why my video is blurry when it is expanded full screen. Oh well. I just uploaded it to Blogger and that's the way it came out. My original video isn't as blurry.
DeleteFixed my blurry issue by uploading the video to Google Docs, but know there's got to be another way to do this.
DeleteOK, this is VERY cool and SO 21st century . . . posting a video and making a code like that . . . I'd love to learn that. It worked but I didn't want such a big arrow . . . how would I find a littler (is that a word?) one like yours?
ReplyDeleteThanks SO much for the tutoring!!!
Barbara
Barbara,
DeleteI added another code for a smaller arrow for you to try.
Thank you SO much!!!
DeleteYou're welcome. Glad it worked for you.
DeleteHaHA! I managed to catch you and tag you. Come check it out at my blog!
